The head of Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Mohamed “Hemedti” Hamdan Dagalo, appears to own a portfolio of property in Dubai valued at approximately $1.7 million, according to new research by The Sentry.
In an alert published Tuesday, the investigative group said Hemedti was tied to three apartments bought in March 2020 in Dubai’s eastern suburbs near the UAE’s Al Minhad military airbase. The properties were initially purchased under the military leader’s name but were later sold in July 2022 to a UAE-registered firm, Prodigious Real Estate Management Supervision Services.
Prodigious is now wholly owned by Abo Zer Abdelnabi Habiballa Ahmmed, also known as Abozer Habib, whom the U.S. Treasury Department blacklisted in 2025, according to the report. The former owners and directors of Prodigious are also linked to other sanctioned RSF-connected firms.
The Sentry estimated the three apartments were worth just under $1 million and said Prodigious also owns a Dubai commercial property worth about $670,000, with the portfolio generating at least $80,000 a year in rent between 2023 and 2025.
The RSF has fought the Sudanese Armed Forces since 2023 and the ongoing conflict has killed more than 100,000 people and displaced 12 million as of January 2026, the investigative group noted. Hemedti remains the subject of financial sanctions imposed by the United States, which has accused the paramilitary group of genocide in Darfur.
