Hong Kong authorities have arrested eight people in their biggest coordinated market misconduct raids since 2017, as regulators investigate an alleged HK$315 million ($40 million) insider dealing and corruption scheme involving two major brokerages and a hedge fund manager.

China said Monday it plans to enact a new law this year aimed at combating cross-border corruption, marking another stage in Beijing’s long-running anti-graft campaign.

Colombia’s Attorney General’s Office said Monday it will file corruption charges against Ecopetrol President Ricardo Roa, alleging misconduct tied to his role as finance manager for President Gustavo Petro’s 2022 campaign and to contracting decisions at the state-run oil company, the Associated Press said.
